16 Ways To Build A Big Social Media Audience From A 16 Year Old

16 Ways To Build A Social Media Audience

Growing a social media audience and getting the best out of that audience is so easy that a 16 year old can do it (that would be me). In a span of less than 3 years, I have been able to get over 100,000 Twitter followers, over 14,000 Pinterest followers, over 10,000 Vine followers, and I’m working on Instagram and Facebook. My audiences continue to grow as the days go by, but many people wonder how I was able to get to this point. I decided to come up with 16 different methods you can use to build your social media audience (that has nothing to do with my age. That just happened to be the number I pulled out of my head).

  1. Focus most of your time on one social network. If you master one of the social networks and sort of know the other ones, you are going to do very well with the social network that you successfully mastered. I decided to master Twitter because it is a social network of simplicity, and now that I know Twitter Domination by heart, I have been able to continue dominating Twitter while growing my presence on other social networks.
  2. Use the big player social networks. Even if you have no plans on using a Facebook or YouTube account, create them. When you master one of the social networks, you need to learn how to master a second social network. It’s the whole idea of being bilingual is better than only knowing one language while being trilingual is way better than being bilingual. Creating the accounts now and tinkering around with them will allow you to be prepared to master them later.
  3. Post on them all often. It is important to post on all of your social networks at least once every week. That indicates to all of your audiences that you are active, and being active is one of the crucial steps towards allowing your content to spread on those social networks.
  4. Interact with your audience. Interacting with your audience will allow you to build stronger connections with the people in your audience. You want to be well acquainted with as many people in your social media audiences as possible. My recommendation is to look at your notifications three times each day to see if you can interact with any of your followers.
  5. Post motivational quotes. No matter what niche you are in, motivational quotes hands down never fail at increasing engagement. Motivational tweets are more likely to get retweeted and motivational pins are more likely to get repinned.
  6. Post articles on your social networks. Posting articles is a great way to provide informative content that your followers would enjoy.
  7. Post valuable content. Valuable content is the kind of content that your targeted followers would like. You can’t satisfy everyone with your social media strategy (you can’t even do that in life. Shocker!) so it is more important for you to focus on satisfying your targeted audience.
  8. Post pictures. Social media posts with pictures get more engagement than social media posts without pictures. We are a visual generation that needs to see everything in pictures. That’s why movies are more popular than books.
  9. Grow your presence on all of your social networks. On the social network you are trying to master, you need to build a powerful presence. However, you should also be growing a bigger presence on your other social networks. Even if you are only gaining five followers every week on a social network you are not focusing on, that is still growing.
  10. Find patterns. Some rules for one social network will apply to another social network. That means if you become successful at one social network, it becomes easier to be successful at other social networks. Here are some of the universal laws of all social networks that I was able to find.
  11. Be an expert in your niche. People follow the experts, not the people who have no idea what they are talking about. Telling people that you are an expert in your bio is a great start, but you need to prove to people that you are an expert with valuable social media posts and a professional picture.
  12. Be humorous. Whenever you can, mix in some humor with your other social media posts. There are numerous examples of content going viral because it was humorous.
  13. Be creative. If your content is creative, then it will gather attention. Creative content is the type of content that the average person could not think of. There is a difference between valuable content and creative content, but if you mix the two together into one social media post, your content is going to spread faster.
  14. Host a giveaway. Giveaways allow you to easily bring in more followers. Some people will follow you just for the giveaway. The only problem associated with the giveaway is that once the giveaway ends, many people unfollow the host of the giveaway. Esurance is a brilliant example of this. If you want people to continue following you after the giveaway, tell everyone that you will be hosting another giveaway three months later.
  15. Interconnect your social networks together. That does not mean connecting your Twitter and Facebook accounts together so all of your tweets end up on Facebook. Linking those two accounts together is not even a good idea to begin with. I am talking about promoting each of your social networks and their posts on your other social networks. If you have a YouTube video, promote it on Facebook. In your YouTube video’s description, have a link to your Facebook Page. Here’s a more in depth analysis of how this strategy works.
  16. Be patient. Don’t you wish certain things could happen faster? Unfortunately, when it comes to growing a social media audience, fast is not a part of the vocabulary. You are not going to get 100,000 followers in one day. You will most likely reach that milestone years after you create the social media account. However, by sticking with it and learning new techniques along the way, you will be able to dramatically grow your following.

Why I Use And Love Blog Post Idea Generators

I recently learned that blog post idea generators actually exist, and I have not been able to get over them. I have been using various blog post idea generators come up with more blog post ideas. The biggest challenge for a blogger is not the writing. Instead, the biggest challenge is coming up with different things to write about. It may be easy in the beginning, but after you publish hundreds (and eventually thousands) of blog posts, thinking of topics that you have not used before becomes increasingly difficult.

Blog post idea generators solve that problem. There are many blog post idea generators on the web that have allowed me to come up with several ideas for new blog posts. HubSpot’s blog post idea generator proved to be effective, but it won’t take long to see all of the blog post ideas they generate. They use the same words like misconceptions and tips in those ideas, even if it makes no sense.

There are other blog post idea generators as well, but the Google docs search generator proves to be the most valuable way to come up with more blog post ideas. All of these blog post idea generators eliminate the need or you to ponder about an idea. You are automatically given the idea, and all you have to do is write about it (that’s the easy part for a blogger).

I use blog post idea generators so I can spend less time thinking about blog post ideas and more time writing about them. By having all of these ideas in place, I am also able to write more books. I have plans on writing numerous books of various sizes, and being able to write blog posts faster allows me to get to my books faster.

3 Book Marketing Tips That You Cannot Ignore

Do you ever have the feeling that you should be getting more sales for all of the work you put into your books? I am not talking about the desire to get more sales because everyone has that desire. I am talking about the authors who get few sales even when the books they published are masterpieces. Just like all self-published authors, I remember being on the same boat. I was wondering why I could not be making more sales for the books I worked so hard on.

Then, it hit me like a ton of bricks. For most authors, the content is not the problem, but instead, the marketing aspect is the problem. Few authors know how to market their own books. I kept on wondering why people were not buying my books, but then I realized that the only reason people were not buying my books was because they did not know about me. Are you on that boat right now? If you are, then don’t worry because the dock is near.

In order to get more book sales, you need to market it effectively. Some marketing tips are better than others, but out of all of the tactics I used, these are the big three that you cannot ignore.

  1. Offer rewards for the people who buy your books in bulk. This will encourage more people to buy your books in bulk. As more people buy your books in bulk, your book’s Amazon sales rank will get very low. Soon enough, your book may be a #1 bestseller on Amazon for multiple categories.
  2. Make your book free for five days with the free promotion feature. The free promotion feature did lose some of its shine when Amazon decided to create Paid and Free categories for the books. The logic behind Amazon’s decision was understandable because new, free books would suddenly become #1 bestsellers and bump all of the other book titles that have been making more sales at a consistent rate for many years. However, this is still a powerful method to get more reviews and visibility. At the end of all of my free promotions, I have always noticed an increase in sales.
  3. Keep on writing. The more you have to sell, the more options you present to the customer. The most successful self-published authors also have self-published over 10 books. If you are able to publish one book every 4-6 weeks, you would be able to publish 9-12 books every year. In addition, the more books you publish, the more books your returning customers will be able to buy.

Five Ways To Speak At More Public Speaking Events

While some people have spoken at thousands of public speaking events, other people are struggling to get chosen to speak at a single event. Sure enough, there is a way to hack the system, but few people know about it. Those few people are the ones who are getting speaking opportunities left and right. What’s the difference? These are the five things working for them that may not be working for you.

  1. You need to have more credibility than most of the people in your niche. The person organizing the event would rather have the social media expert with 500,000 Twitter followers speak than the person with 100,000 Twitter followers. The more real followers you have on your social networks, the more credibility you have. In addition, the people who get the most speaking opportunities happen to be bestselling authors. That means in order to get more public speaking opportunities, you need to have a big audience and successful products.
  2. Connect with people who have organized public speaking events in the past. Chances are those people will organize public speaking events in the future. If you contact that person and fit the bill, that person will have you speak at their next event.
  3. Have recorded videos of your public speaking events. Many people who are organizing public speaking events are looking for the people who have experience in speaking to the public. When you get a public speaking opportunity, you need to take that opportunity and then record the video of your public speaking event. After that, put the video on your blog and post it on YouTube. One of the people who sees that speech is bound to be an event organizer.
  4. Have a “Public Speaker” page on your blog. This page builds authenticity and allows people to know that you are available to speak at their event. Some people may want you to speak at their event but don’t know where they can contact you about that. The “Public Speaker” page on your blog solves that problem.
  5. Post valuable content on your blog. In order to get many public speaking opportunities, you need to get the first opportunity first. The first opportunity usually comes from an event organizer looking for an inexpensive but effective option. If you post valuable content on your blog, event organizers who are looking at your blog posts and like what they see will decide to hire you. After you get a few public speaking opportunities like that, you will get more public speaking opportunities from bigger organizations.

Speaking opportunities will be difficult to get in the beginning. However, as you get some speaking opportunities here and there, and you continue posting valuable content while growing your audience, you will eventually get speaking opportunities left and right. The 7 Wrong Reasons To Become An Entrepreneur

Entrepreneurship has been the source of every billionaires’ success as well as most millionaires’ success as well. It has allowed these people to live more flexible schedules and truly fulfill their lives. Some of these entrepreneurs have changed the world in the process. However, many people are driven to entrepreneurship for the wrong reasons and motives. If you are an entrepreneur for one of these seven reasons, you need to change your mindset.

  1. You’re in it for the money. Just stop now. Effective entrepreneurs are people who change the world, not people who are just in it for the money. That’s what people in the status quo do. In addition, it takes many years before entrepreneurs are able to turn in a big profit for their businesses, products, and services. It is great to have certain goals like make $100,000 every year, but if that is your sole aim in life, to bring in the green, your entrepreneurial journey will not go very far.
  2. You hate work. Entrepreneurship requires more work than any job you could get in the status quo. Entrepreneurs avoid working for 40 hours every week in the status quo so they can work for 80 hours every week. All of this time and effort in the long term can possibly lead to making a difference in the world.
  3. You want to make quick cash. The status quo is a great place for making quick cash. Entrepreneurship is a bad place to make quick cash, but it is a great way to make long term revenue that crushes the type of revenue you would get from the status quo. Understand that it will take a few years before turning in a big profit.
  4. You want life to be easier. When you start your entrepreneurial journey, life gets a lot harder. There are many entrepreneurs who say they had to work for 25 hours a day and for 8 days a week in the beginning just to keep their heads above water. The journey is not pretty, but sticking with it for years will allow you to emerge as a beautiful butterfly.
  5. You got an A in your Entrepreneurship course in college. BIG. DEAL. There is a difference between simulated experiments and you going through the actual journey with all to gain but also all to lose. Doing and knowing how to do something are also two completely different things.
  6. You want to be in charge and have power. No one is going to know about you for a few years. I was by no means successful when I started, but now my blog and social media accounts have become very popular. There was a time when I had no followers and no blog visitors.
  7. You want a better schedule for yourself. In the beginning, entrepreneurship creates a giant dent in your dream schedule. This is one of the reasons I started as a teenager. This giant dent just prevents me from going out with friends as much. By the time I do more important things like raise a family, I won’t have to worry about that giant dent. However, if you are like most people reading this blog post, you may have to worry about that giant dent in your schedule in the beginning. Your willingness to adapt to the giant dent will determine how successful you become throughout your journey.

Believe it or not, I started off as an entrepreneur for the wrong reason. I saw the potential for making money on the web, and that’s what lured me over to entrepreneurship. That’s also why it took me longer than it should have to reach this point. Realizing that teens do not know what I do gave me a stronger purpose. I decided that my purpose was to change the world by teaching entrepreneurship to other teens. This vision eventually turned into the Teenager Entrepreneur Bootcamp where my brother and I successfully taught our peers how to be entrepreneurs. Now the students have their own blogs, and some of them are writing new blog posts and doing other things for their businesses every day. The best part is that we still keep in touch with these students and are friends with them That’s not going in for the money. That’s changing the world, and that’s exactly what entrepreneurship is all about. What are your thoughts on this list and entrepreneurship in general?

4 Ways To Wake Up Feeling Great

Wake Up Call

Your first hour after you wake up dictates how the rest of the day is going to go. If you are happy and feel motivated during the first hour you wake up, you will have a great day. If you feel horrible about yourself within that same time frame, you are bound to have a bad day. That means it is as important as possible to start the day off right. Here are four ways to do that.

  1. Read a motivational book. What you read when you wake up has the potential to change your entire mindset for the day. That means it is ideal for you to read motivational books that provide valuable insights into life, success, and anything else that is valuable to you.
  2. Listen to your favorite music. Listening to your favorite music will fill a part of your soul. That sounded deep, but listening to a favorite song feels much different compared to listening to an ordinary song. Make sure your favorite song is not a depressing song because listening to a depressing songs is the wrong way to start the day.
  3. Do a workout. I am not asking you to squat down and give me 100 push-ups and then get up right from that and run 10 miles. The ideal workout for the morning is a quick 10-20 minute stretch. That means nothing strenuous, but at the same time, walking around for 10-20 minutes is not the right kind of stretching either.
  4. Get some fresh air. Work outside for a change. The fresh air will make you happy to be alive. Getting some fresh air will also refresh you (see what I did there). However, you should not get some fresh air if it is raining, hailing, thunder showering, or anything like that.
