How Creating Less Products Leads To More Sales

Quality VS Quantity

There is such a thing as less is more. When some people create less products, each of those products become bestsellers in their markets while the people who are constantly creating new products do not become bestsellers as often. It’s not that the people who produce products quicker are creating bad products. On the contrary, this only happens because the people with fewer products make people very appreciative of the new product releases.

The best video games are the ones that get one or two new versions sold every year. The iPhone continues to dominate the market because one or two new types of iPhones get created every year.

There will still be people who will want to create product after product. Besides, I am one of those people as well. I envision being able to write and publish one book every 4-6 weeks. I have tried putting more content into each of the books I have written, but I am still able to finish them at a quick time. There are few things that a seller would rather not do than not selling the product that he/she already created. Holding off the release date seems like an impossibility.

You may have to hold off the release date in order to bring more attention to your product. Holding off the release date will allow you to get people to know about your product, and you will also be able to contact the big media outlets and get them to promote your product. If you still want to create products at a rapid pace, you can release them together in a series. That way, people are still eager for your products, can’t wait for their launch, you get to create multiple products, and customers get to buy multiple products from you at a time.

If you are new to creating your own products, and you create and publish them at a rapid pace, continue to do so. It will allow you to get better at creating products and build buzz at the same time. As your audience grows, put more time into individual products so you are able to create an experience that makes people do countdowns to figure out when your next product is going to get released.

3 Bloggers You Need To Subscribe To (Other Than Me)

There are three bloggers who I admire because of what they do. They provide valuable content that spreads across various social networks. If you are not subscribed to these blogs yet, I highly recommend subscribing. Chances are you have heard of them before.

  1. Seth’s Blog: Seth Godin is the best marketer in the world, and he really knows what he is talking about. He writes one thought provoking blog post every day that makes you think about marketing, social media, business, the status quo, entrepreneurship, or something else. Seth Godin has written 17 NYT bestselling books that have been written in over 30 languages. Seth Godin’s project Squidoo really encouraged me to take the steps that I have taken to reach this point. I look to Seth’s books and blog posts for guidance when I do not know what to do for my business or product creation. You can subscribe to Seth’s Blog by going here.
  2. Jeff Bullas’s Blog: If you guessed that the name of this blogger is Jeff Bullas, then you’re right. This is a great blog for social media and blogging how-to, and new blog posts get published every 2-3 days. Jeff has a team of guest writers who pump out quality content for the blog. The only problem with the blog is that the blog posts are very long, but if you have enough time to read an entire blog post on his blog or skim through it, you will learn a lot about social media and blogging.   3. Mike Michalowicz’s Blog: I have never been on a blog that is so comical but information packed at the same time. Mike combines humor with business lessons that you can use to become successful. He is the bestselling author of three books including his newest book, Profit First. He does not send as many emails, but he does publish 1 blog post every day. 5 Secrets About Blogging That Others Don’t Want You To Know

Blogging has become a complex art. What started as an online diary has turned into a way for people to build powerful presences on the web. Now over 150,000 blogs get created every day, and there are millions of blogs on the web. Some of these blogs have Alexa ranks under 100,000 while other blogs have no Alexa ranks at all. What’s the difference between the blogs getting thousands of daily visitors and the blogs that struggle to get one thousand visitors every year? The answer is these five secrets about blogging that others don’t want you to know.

  1. The subscriber list is everything. Even if your blog is getting hundreds of daily visitors, you need to grow your subscriber list. Your subscribers are the ones who get emailed each time you come out with a new blog post, share your blog posts, and buy your products. Optimize your blog for subscriptions by offering free prizes and having a pop up show up on your blog.
  2. SEO is overrated. I relied on SEO for over a year and saw small increases. These increases allowed me to go from 170 monthly views to 200 monthly views. When I focused more of my time on social media, I got the exponential traffic that continues to grow to this day.
  3. You need to have your own product. Affiliate marketing is a great way to make extra income, but if you do not have your own product, you are not establishing yourself as an expert in your niche. In order to make revenue from your blog, you must have your own product in place. On a successful blog, the blogger’s products bring in far more revenue than advertisements. Some of these successful bloggers don’t have advertisements at all.
  4. All social networks are important. You want to offer as many sharing options for your blog posts as possible. The only reason I now include pictures in my blog posts is so other people could share my blog posts with Pinterest. Make it as easy as possible for others to share your blog posts on as many powerful social networks as possible.
  5. Big social media audiences look really good. We have a natural tendency to believe that the person with the bigger audience is more credible than the person with the smaller audience. The power bloggers also happen to have big audiences on social networks, and those big audiences allow their content to spread while boosting their credibility.

7 Ways To Turn Your Facebook Fans Into Email Subscribers

That’s a big portion of marketers, and that’s because most of them are making the same mistake. Chances are you are making the same mistake with your Facebook page that a majority of other Facebook marketers are making. Advertising is a great way to promote your Facebook Page, but then what? Getting a bunch of likes is not the answer, and only 1 out of every  6 people will see your Facebook Page posts. The answer is turning those fans into email subscribers. Here are seven things you need to know so you can make that happen.

  1. Host a giveaway on Facebook. When you host this giveaway on Facebook, you need to make sure that the only way for a person to win the prize is by subscribing to your blog.
  2. Promote a free product. This free product needs to be enticing. In addition, it must only be available to the people who enter their name and email address in a form.
  3. Post valuable content. Posting valuable content will allow you to spread on Facebook. By spreading on Facebook, more people will learn about you. Then, by implementing the other tactics, you will be able to get more subscribers.
  4. Engage with your fans. Engaging with your Facebook fans is the key to your success. Engaging with these fans will allow you to have longer conversations and build stronger connections. This engagement will encourage new fans to have conversations with you, and if you have good conversations with your fans, those fans will become your subscribers.
  5. Offer discounts. Discounts encourage people to buy products. Some people only buy a discounted product because they save money. 4 Ways To Increase The Life Span Of A Tweet

On Twitter’s news feed, it is easy for a tweet to lose importance. Within a few minutes, the tweet that was once on the top of people’s newsfeeds is no longer to be found. The only way to view those types of tweets is to view the person’s profile and scroll down until the tweet gets discovered.

There is no such thing as the immortal tweet. Even Ellen DeGeneres’ famous selfie at the Oscars is not an immortal tweet. Although there is no such thing as an immortal tweet, you can increase the life span of your tweet. Here are four ways to do that:

  1. Pin your tweet to the top of your profile. Pinning your tweet to the top of your profile will ensure that more people see it. My recommendation is that a tweet only stays pinned on the top of your profile for 1 week so you can have a variety of tweets pinned to the top of your profile.
  2. Make your tweet something that others would want to retweet. In order for your tweet to have a better life span, it needs to spread on Twitter. In order to spread content on Twitter, your tweet needs to be something that others would want to retweet. Is it a motivational quote, a valuable article, or something else? Regardless of what that tweet is, it needs to be something that your followers would want to retweet.
  3. Embed the tweet in a new blog post. As your tweet is about to become forgotten, you can write a new blog post that has the tweet embedded. In most cases, it takes longer for a new blog post to get forgotten than a new tweet, and by promoting that tweet in the new blog post, your tweet’s life span will increase.
  4. Get more targeted Twitter followers. The bigger your audience is, the more powerful that audience will be in spreading your content. Power to the people! I almost forgot to mention these methods you can use to get more Twitter followers.

5 Ways To Improve Your LinkedIn Profile

Many people visit your LinkedIn profile before they decide whether to connect with you or not. People look at your profile to decide whether they are going to send one of their 3,000 invitations for you to connect with them. That means your profile needs to look nice and spiffy to bring in more connections. So how does that happen? How can your profile attract people and get them to connect with you? Here are five ways to do that:

  1. Make sure your picture on LinkedIn is professional. Although not recommended, you could possibly get away with an unprofessional picture on Twitter and Facebook. LinkedIn is completely different. It is a social network in which professional business people connect with each other. Make sure you are wearing a tie and buttoned down collared shirt and having someone else take the picture so your LinkedIn profile shines.
  2. Write a longer bio. Your bio represents who you are. If you have a short bio, visitors may believe that there is not much to know about you. Having a long bio tells your visitors that you have an interesting life and numerous accomplishments.
  3. Have a blog. There are more reasons than ever to have your own blog. Having a blog gives you your own home on the web and boosts your credibility. It seems as if more people and organizations on LinkedIn than ever have their own blogs.
  4. Have your own products. Having your own products is another way to make you look professional. A product tells people that you have enough expertise to create a product out of it. If you don’t have your own products, create them.
  5. Include your location. It is okay for people to know what city you live in. People are shy of sharing their location because of the potential risk. You are still safe by sharing the city you live in. The only way someone could pinpoint your exact location is if they knew your address which is something that should not be put on a LinkedIn profile (unless the address is for a business). Including this in your LinkedIn profile will allow you to connect with people nearby, and you will appear in LinkedIn’s search engine more often.
